Ole SC U10 Boys
The U9 boys is under the direction of Ole's director of coaching Jose Fabian Rodriguez. The U9 boys team is a returning team from the 2007/2008 season last year. The majority of the players on this U9 boys team started with our Youth Developmental Program from the age of 5 and 6 years old. They are great examples of the impact the YDP makes on players who trains with Ole from a young age. The U9 boys team currently competes in the U9 boys blue division in GVSA. The U9 boys are coming from a very successful winter where they finished as Champs in the U10 boys indoor league at the Sports Xchange. Also, have been training all winter long and ready for the spring season.

Ole U9 Boys At Lakeshore Soccerfest 2009
The Ole U9 boys coached by Jose Fabian Rodriguez had a great showing in their group play and advanced to the final against a great ASC Rebels team from Naperville, IL. After a long battle with goals going back and forth the entire game, the final match against the Rebels finished as a tie 7-7 during regulation time and headed into overtime. With two halves of 5 minutes, each team managed to score a goal during overtime. Ole put in a goal early in the first half, then the Rebels puts in a goal in the last couple minutes of the second half. The ten minute overtime ends with a final score and tie of 8-8 and goes into a penalty kick shootout. The penalty kicks were taken as if these 8 and 9 year olds were pros, and all 5 shots from each team were scored. The penalty kicks then goes into sudden death. With each team scoring 2 out of the 3 first shots taken, both teams now have to take the fourth shot where this game would be determined. The Rebels take the first shot and Ole keeper Adrian Romero makes a save, denying the ASC Rebels 4th shot. Eric Carey steps up to take Ole’s 4th shot in sudden death and beautifully places it in the right bottom corner to win the game. The field surrounded by over 100 people watching this intense heart pounding game rushes the field to congratulate Eric, Adrian and the U9 boys team. The Ole U14 boys watching and cheering on the U9 boys the entire game run into the field to lift goal keeper Adrian, who is crying of joy not believing his eyes on what just had happened.
