Macclesfield Town Ladies F.C.: Club History
Club History
Our Club was started in 1997 when we fielded an Under 15 team in the Cheshire Girls League. Since then we've progressed to become the largest ladies football club in Cheshire having 10 teams ranging from U10's to Open Age. We have over 100 players drawn from Macclesfield, Congleton, Wilmslow and surrounding areas.
Our aim is to grow even further and provide a safe and educational place where any interested girls or women can play football. We pride ourselves on encouraging anyone to play not just those girls who can play football but those who like the game but can't play - we can always teach the skills with some of our qualified coaching staff, and like all our players who progress through the age groups eventually they want to be a first team player of the future.
As a club we have never regarded success in terms of results on the pitch, we pride ourselves in being a friendly club with an active social life, with a variety of events are held throughout the year, a trip to Blackpool and a Quiz Night, with a Christmas Party and of course our Pink Training Nights to help raise funds for Breast Cancer.
All our Coaches are FA Qualified and hold current FA CRB's,and First Aid trained. All our Coaches/Managers and officials are volunteers.
Our Child Welfare Officer is Kathryn Holloway who can be contacted at any time should you have any questions.
If you are interested in joining our club please contact our Club Secretary. If you require any further information please dont hesitate to contact one of our officails who will be happy to help.
