Following our win against Kirkham Juniors in the Coulton Plate quarter final, we will enter the draw for the semi finals with the following teams: BJFF, Staining Juniors, and Poulton Town.

Kirkham Juniors (Away) - Coulton Plate Quarter Final. Please arrive Kirkham's Maryfields Ground 9.45am for 10.30 kick off.

This will be another first for us as we visit Kirkham's ground for the first time, although it certainly wont be the first match between our sides. As under 8s we played Kirkham twice at our old stamping ground of YMCA's Ansdell Arena, first in November 2007 when a 3-3 draw was followed by a 4-1 win and then again on a summer's evening on 7th July 2008. On that occasion we won the first game 2-0 thanks to a Robert Pickersgill penalty and Oscar O'Neil goal followed by an emphatic 7-0 win where Harry Sagar ran riot with 4 goals, Tom Wyatt pitched in with another and our old friend Jack Bishop scored a brace.
We played Kirkham again in last season's Coulton Cup on 17th January 2009 at Seafield Road when we achieved a 5-0 victory in the first game courtesy of an Oscar O'Neil hat-trick and a couple bagged by George Wyatt followed by a 2-0 win with goals by Ross hart and Charles Shaw in which a young Isaac Eastham caught the eye for the visitors. Although Kirkham were relegated into division 1B at the end of last season they are now on the climb again in 3rd place in a very competetive league. Kirkham are bound to feel confident on their home patch this Saturday so it will take a monumental effort if we want to book a place in the semi-final draw. Look forward to seeing you all on Saturday, ready to give it all you've got!
Other matches in this round see the only other surviving division 1A teams pitched together when BJFF entertain Clifton Rangers. Staining meet Layton and Fleetwood Gym await the winners of Poulton Town v Warton Typhoons.
