'WHITE' HOT RYAN
The weather changed from autumn to real winter this weekend with a strong northerly wind from the Arctic sweeping down the country. There were snowfalls in many areas but as usual, the Fylde Coast escaped but it was still very unpleasant for football with a cold blustery wind and frequent squally showers. Not all our teams were in action but those who did play all achieved victories. In 7-a-side games on the Saturday both our 9s and 10s notched up maximum points. Our 9s retained top-spot in the table with two 2-0 victories at AFC Blackpool whilst at Seafield our 10s, also taking on AFC, won the A game 2-1 then in the B contest Ryan White bagged all five goal in our 5-0 victory. White wasn’t the only Ryan to be amongst the goals this weekend. On the Sunday Ryan Allan netted eight times in our 14s’ 17-0 rout, Zenda Stemp weighing in with a hat trick. Also at Seafield that afternoon our 11s just had a bare eleven available to face FC Rangers with three late cry-offs with illness, including both our goalkeepers. However our boys still managed a great 8-3 victory with Chris Clinch and Jordan Milligan both notching pairs. Over at the Bispham Gala Field our 12 overcame very muddy conditions to beat BJFF ‘A’ 5-2, the outstanding Aiden Atchison bagging a hat trick. About a third of the games in the Sunday Youth League were postponed due to waterlogged pitches
