Match Report
Bordesley got off to a great start playing some good flowing football and it was only a matter of time before they took the lead. Bordesley went ahead with a tap in from Richard Lowry and then went two up with a good strike from James Cartwright. Bordesley should have had a more commanding lead by half-time but had four cleared off the line and two good goals disallowed and a certain penalty turned down. Bordesley still controlled the game and went further ahead with a great header from Richard Lowry in the second half. In the later stages of the half Rebels started to come back into the game with Rob Bell pulling off some good saves. Rebels had their chance to pull a goal back with a penalty when Lee Reading handled on the line and the referee had no choice but to send him off. Rob Bell pulled off a fine save from the penalty to keep out Rebels.
A great performance in horrible conditions and the scoreline does not reflect how Bordesley bossed the game.
