Match Report
Bordesley started brightly and went ahead with a great strike from Paul Jones and after 10 mins added a well worked 2nd through Richard Lowry. The first half was evenly played by both teams but no more goals were added. Baldwin started to dominate the 2nd half and Bordesley were just trying to catch them on the break. Bordesley should have had a penalty when James Cartwright was upended by the keeper. Baldwin pulled a goal back 15 mins from time and equalised on full time to make it 2 - 2. Baldwin took the lead in the 1st half of extra time but Adam Reading scored a good header from a great cross by James Cartwright. Baldwin restored their lead at the start of the 2nd period of extra time. Bordesley piled on the pressure and managed to equalise with a goal from Anthony Barlow to make it 4 - 4 in the last minute. Bordesley scored four quality penalties from James Cartwright, Paul Jones, David Pigott and Lee Reading to win 4 - 1.
A gritty performance from Bordesley to overcome a very good Baldwin side.
